Jane Subramanian has served in many different areas of the library, and presently serves as Archives Coordinator. In addition, she teaches library instruction classes, helps with music cataloging as needed, and you will also find her at Crumb Library's Reference Desk on a regular basis.
Jane is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam and the Crane School of Music, having earned a B.M. in Music Education and an M.S. in Music Education at our campus. She earned her M.L.S. degree from the School of Information Science and Policy at University at Albany. She still remains connected with music, and plays flute in the Northern Symphonic Winds as well as other performing groups. Her research interests cover a variety of areas, and her publications include a book titled Laura Ingalls Wilder: An Annotated Bibliography of Critical, Biographical, and Teaching Studies published by Greenwood Press in 1997 and which is included in their series titled Bibliographies and Indexes in American Literature. She also has written articles related to librarianship and the Norwood Brass Firemen.
