Consultations

What is a LIBRARY CONSULTATION?

It's a chance to make an appointment with a librarian for one-on-one help in library research. The librarian will discuss with you how your research might best be approached, introduce you to some relevant print and non-print resources and explain to you how to use them. This service is for SUNY Potsdam students only.

What isn't it?

It isn't help in the actual writing of your paper or speech. You can get that help elsewhere, especially from the College Writing Center in Carson Hall 106 (closed during summer sessions). We concentrate on the research process.

How do I get one?

Appointments may be arranged by calling or visiting the Crumb Library's Reference Desk, or by filling out the form below. The form's information will allow the librarian to become familiar with your research project and better prepare for your consultation.

We encourage you to schedule your appointment as far in advance of the requested time as possible. For more information, call (267-2485) or email (library@potsdam.edu)
